Are custom domains provided or do I need to purchase my own?

Mixo provides the option to use your own domain or purchase one through Mixo.

What is a domain?

A domain is the address of your website on the internet. It’s what people type into their browser to visit your site. For example, the domain for Mixo is mixo.io.

How do I get a domain?

If you want a custom domain, you have two options:

1. Use a domain you already own - If you already have a domain registered with another domain provider, you can easily connect it to your Mixo site. This is a good option if you want to keep your existing domain or if you’ve already invested in a domain name.

2. Purchase a domain through Mixo - If you don’t have a domain yet, you can purchase one directly through Mixo. This is a convenient option if you want to manage your domain and website in one place.

How do I add a custom domain to my Mixo site?

To add a custom domain to your Mixo site, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Domain Settings - In the Mixo editor, click on the Customize Domain link above the site preview.

2. Select New or Existing Domain - Choose whether you want to use a domain you already own or purchase a new one through Mixo.

3. Follow the Instructions - Depending on your choice, you’ll either need to connect your existing domain or purchase a new one. Mixo will guide you through the process step by step.

4. Verify Ownership - Once you’ve connected or purchased your domain, you’ll need to verify that you own it. This usually involves adding a DNS record or TXT record to your domain settings.

5. Publish Your Site - After you’ve added your custom domain, click the Publish button to make your site live on the internet.
